For the purpose of this debate, 'from behind the veil of ignorance' means that you know all the information about the world, except who you will be when you are born. Before being born you are given a choice of whether to be able to feel romantic feelings or not. After birth you do not remember either the choice or the information you had whilst making it.

You are a talented university student whose main motivation is to do good for the world. You are deciding whether to pursue work in fields that directly help individuals, such as in large development institutions, or pursue a high paying corporate career and donate money.
